Edinburgh Mini Guide

Edinburgh Mini Guide

So excited to share this one from you! I was in Edinburgh this past september and truly became obsessed. It's so charming and feels right out of a magic book. I highly recommend visiting in the fall like I did, but I'm sure it's amazing at any time of the year. Here's a few of my favorite restaurants, shopping spots, and things to do.

These mini guides are always free on my website, but if you’re looking for the full guide with 40+ recommendations per city, I’d love for you to join as a subscriber. Hope you enjoy it!

Restaurants

I thought Scotland had the best city out of Ireland and England! There were some hidden gems that I really loved.

The Free Company

This restaurant is a bit out of the city, but it was my favorite place we ate on the whole trip! It's so beautiful there and the workers are soooo cool on top of the food being amazing.

Knoops

There's a few of these throughout the city and yes they're a little bit touristy but for good reason. The hot chocolate is sooo yum. Also I only got like 50% dark and it was still so rich so be wary lol

Hendersons

This vegetarian spot is on the Michelan guide and was seriously SO good. I got the Haggis which sounds spooky but its scottish!

Shopping

Edinburgh is heaven for anyone who loves vintage pieces. There were shops on every corner it felt like!

Herman Brown

Really good vintage shop, the owner is so kind!

Torn

Their selection of vintage trench coats and sweaters is amazing! I got the cutest plaid trench here

Cabaret

Vintage jewelry store

Things To Do

I loved Edinburgh because there was a really good variety of things to do from nature, history, to shopping. Here's some of my favorites!

Arthur's Seat

This hike is so pretty because you can see the whole city from the top! Regularly it's a two hour hike but if you start at the point I linked, you can walk up the hill and start at the half way point which makes it a ton shorter! I wouldn't recommend doing this in ballet flats and hunter boots like Sierra and I did hahah.

Princess Street Gardens

Loved this walk through the park to see the castle! We didn't actually end up going to the castle because I heard unless you're there for a few days it's not a MUST see, so I loved seeing it from here!

National Galleries of Scotland

There are two different galleries that you can see and they're both so beautiful. The art is amazing
